When Officer Maguire responded to a call for service one day, she discovered a family where both parents of two young children were suffering with cancer and fighting for their lives.

With Thanksgiving only a few weeks away at the time, on her own time and with her own money, Officer Maguire showed up at their house a few weeks later with all the Thanksgiving fixings as well as many different gift cards equaling hundreds of dollars to help with any of their needs.
