Never Stop Growing

Jun 14, 2023

Are you in a rut and feel desperate for a change?

Do you feel stuck and don't know how to move on?

Are you striving for something but not seeing any results?

Then you are more than likely lacking a sense of personal growth.

When you are not focused on bettering yourself each and every day and when you are not putting forth the effort to live up to your fullest potential, then you will find yourself in one if not all of the situations above.

Personal growth will get you out of a rut by forcing you to change what needs to be changed and it will open your mind up to different things.

Personal growth will help you move on by giving you the tools you need to push yourself to the next level you are trying to get to.

Personal growth will give you results by creating a sense of momentum that will show change overtime if you keep on going.

Personal growth is not easy, but it is absolutely necessary if you want to be a successful leader and if you want to be successful in life. If you stay the same as you are right now, then you will never know how far you can actually go or how much you can actually accomplish. Success requires change, effort, commitment, and determination. If you want to be successful, then you must always focus on growing.

Personal growth not only helps you, but it also helps those you lead.

HOW IT HELPS YOU: Personal growth helps you get the most out of life. We all have things we need to work on and/or things we want to get better at, so taking the time to actually focus on stopping bad habits and/or learning how to be an expert at something is how we grow. If you stop growing, then you will never reach your fullest potential and will miss out on some pretty amazing things.

HOW IT HELPS OTHERS: Personal growth also helps others because you can share the things that you have learned and pass it on. So your personal growth can in turn help others grow themselves. It can also inspire others to focus on their own personal growth. When everyone in a group and/or organization are focused on their own personal growth, the entire group and/or organization will grow as a whole and will naturally flourish.

There are 4 reasons why personal growth is so important:

1) It is the right thing to do.

We should all be focused on our own personal growth for the sake of ourselves and others. Don't waste your abilities and your talents. Use them to help others and/or to change the world. When you grow as a person, you make the world a better place. Personal growth is what makes life worthwhile.

2) It ensures tomorrow will be better than today.

We all make mistakes and bad things are going to happen, but we cannot let that keep us from moving forward. Making sure tomorrow will be better than today is what keeps momentum, positivity, and enthusiasm alive. Personal growth helps you to never give up hope.

3) Your family deserves it.

Your family deserves the best version of you, would you agree? So make sure you are constantly growing. They are counting on you to be your best. Personal growth will ensure that you are who your family needs you to be.

4) Your job expects it.

If someone hires you, they see something in you that you may not see in yourself - so don't let them or your agency / organization down by limiting yourself. If you don't personally grow, then you will more than likely be looked over and/or replaced by someone else. Do not let your lack of personal growth get the best of you. Personal growth will keep you current, trustworthy, and inspirational.

The biggest problem when it comes to personal growth is that people believe their personal growth is the job of their agency / organization, but that is so not true. Personal growth is up to YOU!

Instead of watching TV when you get home, sit down and read a book. Instead of scrolling on your phone for hours on end, write down your thoughts and experiences in a journal. The only way you are going to grow is if you do things that actually develop change in you for the better. Personal growth is about evolving. When you evolve, you get better.

So take a few minutes to really examine yourself and where you are in life and jot down what you want to work on within yourself and what you want to improve. Then come up with a plan of how you are going to push yourself to do what it takes to personally grow. It is not going to be easy some days, but it will always be worth it.
